The Kingdom Has Its Own Economy Part 1 — Why Supply Follows Government

Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10, Amplified.
If Kingdom Finance just means ordinary finance done by Christians, the term is unnecessary. If Kingdom business just means a business owned by a Christian who prays before meetings, no real Kingdom has actually been described — Christianity has simply been attached to the existing system. Jesus meant something more radical. Matthew 6:10 above is not sentiment — it is a governmental claim. A Kingdom has order, government and ways of operating. It also has an economy. And the government originates with the King, not with our business, our culture, or even our church institutions, which means Christian ownership of an institution is not, by itself, proof that Kingdom government has arrived there.
Second Kings 7 supplies the test case. Samaria is starving under siege, and every visible economic indicator says the famine will continue. Then Elisha declares a future price, for the next day. He is making authoritative forward price guidance on two critical commodities. Elisha wasn't extrapolating a forecast from observable fundamentals. He was declaring a future market condition from information unavailable to the market:
Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will sell for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria! 2 Kings 7:1, Amplified.
The king's officer — let's call him the CFO — reading the situation accurately, calls this impossible:
If the Lord should make windows in heaven, could this thing be? 2 Kings 7:2, Amplified.
He was not wrong about the circumstances. He was working from an incomplete map, as his map did not include or put weight on the "thus says the Lord." The circumstances were real; but they were not the whole territory. The following day, the market moved exactly as Heaven had named it:
So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, as the Lord had spoken. 2 Kings 7:16, Amplified.
That is the distinction the whole session stands on — the earthly map and the Kingdom map, the visible circumstances and what God has actually said. It is the same distinction behind every pattern God has ever handed a builder before the building began. Moses was shown the Tabernacle before a peg was cut:
See to it that you copy exactly their pattern which was shown you on the mountain. Exodus 25:40, Amplified.
David received the Temple the same way, by revelation before administration:
All this the Lord made me understand by the writing by His hand upon me, all the work to be done according to the plan. 1 Chronicles 28:19, Amplified.
The resources served the revealed purpose. The money never generated the blueprint — which is the whole of Kingdom Finance in one sentence: Kingdom supply follows Kingdom assignment, not the other way around. Paul says the same about us: the good works were prepared beforehand, the paths already laid, before we ever began our journey. The most critical element of our map is the Word from the Lord:
For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10, Amplified.
Not everything I am capable of, or that could make money, is necessarily a work prepared for me. Activity is not the same as identity. Scripture is plain that the difference will be tested:
The work of each one will become plainly, openly known — for the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done. 1 Corinthians 3:13, Amplified.
Assignment has a place, not just a purpose. God places people the way He places every limb and organ, on purpose, where He sees fit — and the place you are placed is where your authority is real:
He stood in the midst of the ground and defended it and slew the Philistines, and the Lord wrought a great victory. 2 Samuel 23:12, Amplified.
Shammah's ground was only a field of lentils. But it was his, and he knew it, and he held it. That is where this session ends: not with how large a territory you can imagine, but with which field is actually yours, what the King has said about it, and whether your map has given that word the weight it is due.
