So many responded to my last post that I felt I should follow it up with further encouragement.
Lots of pictures of the virus have been circulating on the news and I was praying about the virus today and the word kept coming to me that - "This virus has knees". Of course, I know it doesn't have a skeletal framework, but it does have knees in the spirit realm as it must bow to the supremacy and lordship of Jesus.
"that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth," Philippians 2:10
It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.' Romans 14:11
Everything must bow to the supremacy of Jesus and we have this great promise in our new covenant with him. Is 53:5 reinforces that His death purchased our healing and our daily prayer is instructed to be a declaration that things are TO BE ON EARTH AS THEY ARE IN HEAVEN.
So what about the virus? Where does it come from? John 10:10 makes it clear that it is the THIEF that comes to steal, kill and destroy.
So we know what this is all about - regardless of the physical origin of the virus (lab or wet-market in China), its' origin belongs to the thief as lives are being cut short, mouths are being shut, fear has risen up and economic damage is being done. Sounds like the thief to me.
Interestingly, in a recent press conference President Trump refused to call the virus an Act of God - it didn't resonate with him and in doing so he stumbled on a profound truth - we have in many cases attributed to God the acts of man or satan. We can't plead with God to withdraw something He didn't send but we can take the thief to the courts of heaven and partner with heaven to bring about healing to individuals and to our land. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Eph 6:12
We also know that we have a covenant purchased through the blood of Jesus that allows us all to declare with faith that it will be in our lives as it is in heaven.
Picture this: God is on the throne and this virus tries to sneak into heaven and cause sickness and death! It would simply cease to exist in the Glory realm. The atmosphere of heaven is fatal to sin, sickness and death.
So the virus does have knees - it is not supreme, it does not exist apart from our covenant and it must bow to the name of Jesus. It is also destroyed by the atmosphere of heaven as we worship and declare His Kingdom come. As we declare our covenant with Him, remember it with communion and declare the Kingdom of heaven on earth as it is in heaven - virus free.
Personally - take prudent and sensible precautions (faith does not mean we do not check the road before stepping out). Remember and declare our covenant and bring the atmosphere of heaven to earth for our family.
Nationally - Having done that, we need to SHOUT out a declaration that this virus must bow to our prayers and resist it in our nation through our prayers and declarations. Shut it down, pray for new health innovations, speedy treatments and radical healings.
There will be many revelations from this time as a crisis exposes character. We can see the perfidy of the communist system that suppressed details causing widespread suffering and we can also see the folly of globalised supply chains with just in time delivery. There will need to be conversations about these things as well as the need for national strategic reserves.
From a church and the 7000 perspective this is a dry run. This will not trigger the collapses that it could but where are the 7000? Where are the Josephs that God is putting in place to meet needs in time of crises? Where are the mechanisms to provide practical help and leadership? Where are the 7000 that hold the levers of primary infrastructure and resource? I don't feel we are ready yet but the call is going out - who will answer? So many of us were not ready as evidenced by the shortages and hoarding. This virus is like a watchman on the wall blowing a trumpet to give alarm - a preview - the next season is the season to prepare and not to slumber.
