The Digital Rapture - Casting out the money-changers

We have just commemorated Jesus’ cleansing the Temple - taking a whip and overturning the tables of the money-changers. This is a stark reminder that we cannot mix the profane and the holy and that it is God that sets the standards not us.

And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” Matthew 21: 12-13 ESV

We are in a similar time of separation now as the standards that we have operated under have shifted. We are in a Digital Rapture where the life of the Church or Ekklesia is being challenged in almost all areas of life and commerce. It is imperative to know what this Digital Rapture is all about, why it is needed and to understand how we must operate in the coming season. Essentially, the comfortable season of operating in tandem with the Jezebelic world-system has come to a sudden crossroads. The world-system is going down the road of the Great Reset towards a godless New World Order and the Church is facing a moment of great decision. Continue to slumber with the money-changers or join with Jesus in a movement to reestablish Godly dealings.

What Has Happened? In case you missed it, there is a political movement that predated but envisaged the Covid-19 pandemic or “a” pandemic that facilitated the Great Reset. Many global leaders concerned about global issues postulated a Fourth Industrial Revolution which, in global political parlance, has morphed from “The Great Transformation” and now into the “Great Reset” (http://reparti.free.fr/schwab2020.pdf) with its catchphrase to “Build Back Better”. This catchphrase has been adopted by US President Joe Biden, Canada PM Justin Trudeau, NZ PM Jacinda Ardern and PM Boris Johnson, among others:

The Fourth Industrial Revolution will completely alter how we produce, how we consume, how we communicate and how we live. It will redefine the relationship between citizens and the state (https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/03/klaus-schwab-new-narrative-for-globalization/).

This “complete alteration” describes the season of shaking and sifting we have just come through where this new relationship was being manifested. We have seen the erosion of traditional freedoms, lockdowns, emergency powers, and the ultimate push for a digital identity database akin to the Chinese Communist Party’s social credit system, all under the guise of vaccine mandates and passports. Most churches and leaders slept and slumbered through this season without seeing the not-so-hidden agendas being put in place.

However, while the church was slumbering the operating models of society have shifted dramatically and not in favour of the Ekklesia. The unprecedented call for Covid 19 to be used for a Great Reset was heard by our leaders across nations and resulted in a series of coercive and totalitarian like emergency decrees and actions that have changed the landscape of how things are done. Although the church may be looking for a “safe place” to get back to business as usual, I would argue that this no longer exists.

What are these changes? The world does not operate the way it used to. We used to have an imperfect social contract where the intrusion of state power was infrequent and had to be heavily scrutinised and justified. For example, to get a warrant to listen in to your private conversations was difficult and heavily regulated. Shutting off your electricity required a great deal of evidence of active ongoing criminality. There was a wide-spread understanding that the process was not to be used as punishment. Now, digital services we view as utilities are being denied from Christian and conservatives who do not follow the new “party-lines”. The Parler social media platform was destroyed by a coordinated denial of service requested by politicians and implemented by business and media acting in concert. Parler’s business was destroyed by denying web services, restricting or shutting down App downloads and access, preventing them from rebuilding, and all with the collusion and support of government actors. Famously, Twitter blocked damning information on their favoured political candidate’s allegedly corrupt dealings (Hunter Biden’s laptop) at the same time they denied service to a sitting US President.

We have had explicit object lessons about the changes we are facing and how this new reality operates against Christians. I think it is fair to say that most Christians are viewed as small “c” conservative as their biblical views of marriage and gender, for example, are seen as traditional. A Christian economic viewpoint would not put the government as the solution to mankind’s problems. This is particularly true with a post-Christian government that supports late-term abortion and gender-bending agendas. Christians believe that we have to be blessed and possess money and property in order to be the Good Samaritan.

The reality is that we are in a battle between globalist left-leaning elites focussed on bringing in a new world order by any means necessary. The restraint on state action has been eroded as power is exercised by elites operating in concert. Conservatives and traditionalists including Christians are caught up as the enemy. Christians may not want to join the battle but they are engaged in it whether they recognise it or not. We have seen the emergence of an unholy alliance between big tech (media and social media), big business, government and science giving these actors the power of the state and giving the state the overreach potential of social control NEVER seen outside of CCP, USSR and other totalitarian states. Those who favour freedom and individual liberty; national over global solutions; have traditional values and challenge the emerging dominant views are being targeted and suppressed by this new non-elected ruling elite. Like the East Germany of old, the slogans are all about democracy and equity, as free speech is being curtailed and personal liberties trampled. Here are some recent examples:

• State religion of “scientism” emerging- unquestioned adherence to a dominant view and the punishment of other views as mis or dis information

• Suppression of views and thought that does not align - from Twitter banning people and views to traditional media adopting unified talking points

• In Canada, non-regime media are falling into “unapproved” categories that will be suppressed by the internet to prevent mis and dis information as “approved” by Trudeau and the state

• Application of force to require belief in views on sexuality and orientation as evidenced by hate speech and anti conversion laws - what was a debate a few years ago is now being criminalised

• Indoctrination of children to alternative sexual views and the minimisation of parental rights

• Use of emergencies legislation, executive action, and “martial law” to further extend government power and overreach

• Linking protest to illegality and sedition - see the Jan 6 narratives in the US and the treatment of the truckers in Canada

• Blocking of accounts and limiting access on fund-raising platforms such as GoFundMe

• Debanking of people who are conservative and may disagree

• Cancel culture - people being fired for questioning the new realities

• Denial of services to conservatives - Parler shut down by Apple, Amazon Web Services, Google, Twitter etc

• Hotel booking sites denying service to those attending Christian or conservative events

• Mass surveillance under the guise of dealing with “domestic terror” concerns and extending this to concerned parents fighting agenda driven sexual teaching to children

• Use of the dollar and banking as a weapon

This list could go on and on and on and even the most unaware of us will see that something has been going on.

The Digital Rapture!

And the Lord said to him, Go Through the midst of the City… and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in the midst of it. EZ 9:4

We are called to be marked by caring about what God cares about and this is a time to wake up and see what has happened. Jesus cared about the defilement of the Temple and likewise we must find alternative ways of operating with the money-changers cast out.

There is a Digital Rapture taking place as Christians rise up in every sphere of human endeavour to put in place righteous systems. We are seeing this begin to emerge among so-called conservatives and Christians who are awake to these issues.

• Social media sites that suppress and block conservatives are being replaced by new sites such a Christian-founded Gab, Gettr and now Trump-endorsed Truth Social.

• Christian founded GiveSendGo replaced GoFundMe in relation to the trucker protest in Canada and has endeavoured to provide services.

• Alternative media sources have grown up to supplant the approved state media that is in collusion with left-wing agendas

• New business models are emerging in every sector of human interaction and we, the silent majority, are silent no longer.

• Christian media needs to continue to rise up as we separate ourselves from legacy sources. This is particularly seen in relation to children’s programming such as the exposure of Disney in its’ promotion of alternative lifestyles to our youngest minds.

• Education - there is a movement to take back the control of education away from radical agendas as well as for alternative education pathways for Christians.

• Currently, there is a call for Christian founded sites to do banking and financial transactions in a new way.

In all sectors of commerce and society new systems are emerging that are separate and do not rely on the existing infrastructure which has been corrupted. This is the movement to a Digital Rapture - coming out from our collaboration with a failed and corrupt system - cleansing the Temple.

Look for this to occur more and more. While we may continue to fight in the social arenas of our day, our biggest fight involves setting up alternative systems that do not rely on the world-system that is corrupted and that can shut us down. Let us see Christians move into every sphere of human interaction with godly models and good governance. Let us be protected from those who are trying to destroy us and build a voice that will be heard in this generation. Today, I call for all Christian leaders to wake up, take up the mantle of caring for what God cares about and build a new tomorrow. Overturn the tables in every sector and join with Jesus in His mission to destroy the works of the enemy.
