Response to Preachers Denigrating Charlie Kirk

ree

It came to me strongly today that we are in an Ezekiel 44 season of separation.

The First Separation: On Friday I spoke about the spirit of murder that rises when the righteous speak truth. We are called to raise a righteous standard and the response in the world and, sadly, from many in the church, is to align with this murderous spirit. In John 8:44 Jesus says, “You are of your father the devil… He was a murderer from the beginning.”
He ties their intent to kill Him to the devil’s nature. When we are not angry and grieved about murder, or when we minimise or deflect we are aligning with this spirit and fail the test of Ezekiel 9:4:

The Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, throughout all of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh [in distress] and grieve over all the repulsive acts which are being committed in it.”

-- Only those that grieve and mourn over the evil God cares about are the marked. This is the first separation.

I was going to complain about one of the hate preachers I saw in the Christian church denigrating Charlie Kirk after his assassination and pondered who do I complain to? I could not write to his church as he was the leader and the congregation seemed to be wild with approval. I was going to complain to God and then was reminded of Jesus words: "You are of your father the devil..." Words that are true and apply today - this preacher was partnering with the devil to do the works of satan.

The Second Separation: The second separation is Ezekiel 44. In this chapter the Levites - priests - are separated out. In verse 12 we are told that: "...the priests ministered to the people before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity and guilt...". As a result, they were turned into janitors - they were appointed as "caretakers". But the sons of Zadok were allowed to minister to the Lord and in verse 23 they are instructed to: "...teach My people the difference between the holy and the common or profane, and cause them to distinguish between the unclean and the clean".

We are seeing the double exposure of the compromised of heart and the compromised of action. As in Ez 9:4, the judgement begins in the house of the Lord. We are seeing and will continue to see ministries and ministers fall as God lifts His hand from what they are doing and places it on His modern-day "Zadok remnant". "The toleration and forbearance is over, says the Lord." Many voices and ministries are now being empowered by this Zadok recognition. We must move forward with the understanding that we are to be the Zadok remnant caring about what God cares about.

Finally, there is to be no fund raising for the 1-Talent holders where God has removed the talent (Matt. 25/Luke 19) and no grieving over ministers, prophets and ministries that have failed this test. We pray that they will repent and God will have some useful caretaking work for them.
