The 7000

A woman who had bled for twelve years reached out and touched the fringe — the tassel at the hem of Jesus' prayer shawl. She was in a crowd pressing in on Him from every side, yet her touch in faith released healing power. Luke's word for that fringe is the same word the Greek Old Testament uses for the tassel commanded in Numbers, tied at the corner where a man's own eye would find it, so that he would remember the commandments of the Lord rather than follow his own heart.
